NFL draften nærmer sig med hastige skridt. Der kommer flere og flere mock drafts ud, men hvor peger mock draftsne hen, når det kommer til Saints to første runde valg?

Daniel Jeremiah fra NFL.com mener:

#11: Gareon Conley – CB, Ohio State

Conley has really helped himself with impressive workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine and his pro day. He’s a good fit for the Saints, who need to upgrade their secondary.

#32: Budda Baker – S, Washington

Baker can play nickelback or safety at the next level. He would team with Gareon Conley to add some juice to the Saints‘ secondary.

Bucky Brooks fra NFL.com mener:

#11: Tre’Davious White – CB, LSU

If the Saints aren’t able to land Malcolm Butler, the LSU standout would be a perfect fallback as a potential CB1.

#32: Adoree’ Jackson – CB, USC

Jackson gives the Saints a two-way playmaker to add some sizzle to the lineup.

Lance Zierlein fra NFL.com mener:

#11: Takkarist McKinley – OLB, UCLA

We all know the Saints need a cornerback, but in a deep cornerback draft, the Saints could afford to wait on that position while grabbing a talented edge rusher like McKinley.

#32: Chidobe Awuzie – CB, Colorado

Earlier in the round, I had the Saints taking a pass rusher and this time they look at finding secondary help. Awuzie has good size and explosiveness and is a quality cover man. It also helps that he’s a talented gunner on special teams.

Charley Casserly fra NFL.com mener:

#11: Reuben Foster – LB, Alabama

Foster reminds me of Luke Kuechly. I expect Saints to fill their cornerback need by trading for Malcolm Butler.

Saints handler det 32. valg…

(Projected trade with Saints) Excellent first-round haul by Browns with Myles Garrett, O.J. Howard and now Trubisky.

Chad Reuter fra NFL.com mener:

#11: Derek Barnett – DE, Tennessee

Barnett joins with Cameron Jordan to disrupt opposing backfields.

#32: Tre’Davious White – CB, LSU

Doubling down on defense makes sense given the Saints’ unit ranked 27th in yards allowed last season.

R.J. White fra CBSSPORTS mener:

#11: Derek Barnett – DE, Michigan

I previously sent the higher-ceiling Taco Charlton to the Saints with this pick, but it’s more likely they opt for the safer Barnett, who doesn’t have the testing scores or measurables of other top pass-rushing prospect but delivers on a weekly basis anyway. With Barnett and Cam Jordan as locked-in starters on the defensive line and Daryl Tapp and Alex Okafor back in the fold to provide sub-package pass rush, the Saints should feel like they finally have a handle on getting after the quarterback.

#32: Christian McCaffrey – RB, Stanford

There’s buzz that McCaffrey could be ticketed for a spot in the top half of the first round, but a player with his skill-set just doesn’t seem like a priority for most teams when deciding how to use their first draft pick. New Orleans added help for the defense earlier in this mock, and while they could keep going back to the well here, adding McCaffrey to be a complement to Mark Ingram would give the offense a boost and allow Sean Payton to get a little more creative in his play-calling.

Rob Rang fra CBSSPORTS mener:

#11: Marlon Humphrey – CB, Alabama:

The Saints ranked dead last in pass defense in 2016 and may opt to trade this or another pick for New England Patriots’ star cornerback Malcolm Butler in an attempt to fix the issue. Until that occurs, adding talent in the secondary is likely New Orleans’ top priority. Humphrey is an NFL legacy with a rare combination of size (6-0, 197 pounds) and speed (4.41), who at just 20-years old appears to be just scratching the surface of his potential.

#32: Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA:

The Saints ranked 27th in the NFL a year ago with just 30 sacks, a real concern given the quarterback talent in the NFC South. Help is on the way with former Arizona Cardinals’ edge rusher Alex Okafor but he signed only a one-year deal. McKinley’s stock is a bit in flux after recently undergoing shoulder surgery but he possesses the explosive first step, arm length (34 3/4 inches) and high-revving motor to ultimately prove one of the best edge rushers from this year’s class.

Ryan Wilson fra CBSSPORTS mener:

#11: Taco Charlton – DE, Michigan:

Here?s all you need to know: 30th, 32nd, 31st. That?s where the Saints? defense has finished the past three years. So it stands to reason that they continue to add defensive playmakers early in the draft, which is why defensive end Taco Charlton — who has drawn comparisons to Chandler Jones — is the pick here. And while most mock drafts don?t have Charlton going so high, the Saints are reportedly infatuated with his skills and how they would translate to the NFL.

#32: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU:

The Saints? defense ranked 30th last year, according to Football Outsiders, and the pass defense was measurably worse than the run-stopping counterparts. New Orleans got a pass rusher at No. 11 and looks to solidify the back end with the pick it got from the Patriots for Brandin Cooks.

Jared Dublin fra CBSSPORTS mener:

#11: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama:

The Saints have been dreadful against the pass for years now and badly need to add secondary talent. Humphrey has crazy speed, good size at 6-0, 197 pounds, and the ability to work in press coverage because of his stout frame.

#32: Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA:

The Saints snagged Marlon Humphrey early, and now add an athletic pass-rusher to continue remaking their defense.

Will Brinson fra CBSSPORTS mener:

#11: Derek Barnett – DE, Tennessee:

Feel like the Saints would kill to see Barnett sitting here at 11 because it means they can add at least one stud defensive player in this draft.

#32: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State:

The Saints get to walk away with a pair of defensive standouts from this draft in the first round, which could make that side of the ball immediately improved.
