Der er nu under to uger til at NFL afholder dette års draft i Cleveland. Her et kig på, hvem eksperterne spår New Orleans Saints drafter. Cornerback efterfulgt af wide receiver eller linebacker ser ud til, at være de populære valg.

Asante Samuel Jr., CB, Florida State

If the Saints don’t make an ultra-aggressive move up the board to grab a sliding quarterback, finding a cornerback who can make plays on the ball would be a priority. Samuel answered any lingering questions about his speed at FSU’s pro day.

Janoris Jenkins is gone, and Marshon Lattimore is due to hit free agency next year. Samuel has the ability to step right in and contribute.

– Charley Casserly, NFL.com

The Saints replace Janoris Jenkins with a young playmaker offering a high IQ and NFL pedigree. Expect Samuel to contribute from the jump.

– Maurice Jones-Drew, NFL.com

Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

Farley was our CB1 until he underwent a back procedure several weeks ago. His camp says he’ll be ready in time for the season. If he’s healthy, the Saints could find one of the best players in this draft class at the bottom of Round 1.

– Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports

The back injury will drop Farley down to this spot, which will allow the Saints to land one of the top physical corners in the draft. The Saints need a young corner to develop in their defense.

– Pete Prisco, CBS Sports

Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

Collins is a 6-foot-5 gazelle at LB, able to cover in space and also get to the QB. The Saints are in a fork-in-the-road period as a franchise, with questions at several areas. Collins is the type of impact player who can help in Year 1.

– Peter Schrager, NFL.com

Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky

Watching Jamin Davis and Demario Davis play next to each other would be a blast and would make it pretty likely you’d be getting tackled by someone with the last name “Davis” when playing the Saints.

– Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports

Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

The Saints get an Emmanuel Sanders replacement in the form of Toney. The Florida star explodes in and out of routes.

– Josh Edwards, CBS Sports

Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU

Adding a complement for Michael Thomas is in order, and the Saints stay in state to find one. Marshall offers size, speed, versatility and determination to carve his own niche from the LSU WR tree.

– Charles Davis, NFL.com

Hvem håber du Saints vælger som nummer 28 overall?

2021 NFL Draft Prospect Profile: CB Eric Stokes, Georgia
There’s a lot to like about Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes, who although raw in some areas, does have a high ceiling.

He is an incredible athlete who possesses solid height and length, with a skinny lower body and a lean frame. Stokes has lightning-quick speed, has a very good burst to close, and his feet/hips are more than capable of handling man coverage. He’s controlled and balanced in his stance at the line of scrimmage, but that does wane as the play goes on.

Vi har behov for at styrke CB gruppen
