Hvem kommer til Saints i mock drafts før free agency

Saints fik i denne handel Broncos 29. valg.

Daniel Jeremiah (NFL.com)

Zay Flowers, Boston College · WR · Senior

Flowers is one of the most enjoyable players to study in this year’s class. He’d be a lock for the top 15 if he were two inches taller.

Eric Edholm (NFL.com)

O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida · OG · Senior

The Saints could use the selection they picked up in the Sean Payton trade to get a QB, but in this mock, they get a mauling guard in case Andrus Peat doesn’t return.

Lance Zierlein (NFL.com)

Myles Murphy, Clemson · Edge · Junior

I couldn’t find a home for Murphy I liked higher up in this mock, so he tumbles down the board here. That’s not a knock on the Clemson product, though, who has NFL size (6-5, 275) and can play stout at the point of attack. He’s more solid than spectacular, but the Saints need help up front.

Chad Reuter (NFL.com)

Tuli Tuipulotu, USC · Edge · Junior

If the Saints land a quarterback via trade/free agency, then I could see them turning their attention to the D-line early in the draft. New defensive coordinator Joe Woods will likely keep the team’s four-man front, where Tuipulotu would be a great find in the late first because of his power and agility at 290 pounds. … Sort of sounds like Cameron Jordan coming out of Cal, doesn’t it?

Cynthia Frelund (NFL.com)

Anthony Richardson, Florida · QB · Sophomore (RS)

I know the Saints have stuck with veteran QBs since Drew Brees’ retirement, and they could go that route again in 2023. But Richardson’s upside (and the cap-friendly rookie deal he’d be on) would be worth the 29th overall pick. Richardson’s scrambling and rushing abilities differentiate him from the other top QBs in this class.

Chris Trapasso (CBS)

Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College, Sr

After the Carr signing in this mock scenario, the Saints have to add weaponry to the offense. They do that with the small but sensational Flowers.

Josh Edwards (CBS)

Lukas Van Ness, EDGE, Iowa

New Orleans may be forced to move on from Marcus Davenport this offseason, so the Saints respond by adding Lukas Van Ness to retain depth at that spot.

Ryan Wilson (CBS)

Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina

Good news: The Saints got a much-needed first-round pick in the Sean Payton deal. Bad news: It’s not nearly high enough to land the team a QB. Instead, the focus is on defense. Brady Roby and PJ Williams are set to be free agents and Cam Smith is a first-round talent who can be a Day 1 contributor.

Kyle Stackpole (CBS)

Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

The Saints can let Marcus Davenport go in free agency and replace him with Nolan Smith, who battled injuries this past season but has all the physical traits and intangibles to fit in well with that defense.
